New York State Assembly Voting On Minimum Wage Bill Today

The New York State Assembly is expected to pass an increase in the minimum wage today to nine dollars an hour.

The measure, which would also permit future increases to adjust for the rate of inflation, is not expected to pass the State Senate so easily.

The state's current minimum wage for non-tipped employees is $7.25 an hour.
