New York State Police Joins Facebook, Twitter

Gino Geruntino, WIBX

New York (WIBX) - If you like the New York State Police, you can officially show it by  following their new Facebook and Twitter pages.

The agency joined Facebook in early September and has amassed more than 600 “likes.” Their Twitter page is advancing a little more slowly, though it’s only been active for 18 days.

Superintendent Joseph D’Amico says by engaging in social media, New Yorkers can learn about the troopers, while staying up to date on closures, arrests and investigations.
