New York State Senator Wants Trump Park Renamed
A state senator from Manhattan wants Donald J. Trump Park to be renamed.Daniel Squadron is proposing a bill requesting that the GOP presidential frontrunner's name be removed from state park materials and signage.
Trump had purchased the 436-acre tract of land about ten years ago, but donated it to the state after a FOIL request was made on environmental grounds.
Squadron wrote a letter to Governor Andrew Cuomo urging him to "quickly remove" Trump's name from the park.
