New York State Unemployment Rate Falls In June

The unemployment rate in New York state has dropped to its lowest level in seven years.

The New York State Department of Labor says the jobless rate fell from 5.7% to 5.5% in June.  That's the lowest rate since July 2008.

Meanwhile, the state added 24,200 private sector jobs last month.
