If haven't registered to vote in New York's April 19th presidential primary, the deadline is fast approaching.

New Yorkers looking to register or change their enrollment information must do so by March 25th.

You can register on the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles website.

To register to vote, a New Yorker must:

· Be a United States citizen.
· Be 18 years old by December 31 of the year in which you submit the form.
· Live at your present address at least 30 days before an election.
· Not be in prison or on parole for a felony conviction.
· Not be adjudged mentally incompetent by a court.
· Not claim the right to vote elsewhere.

Since Governor Andrew Cuomo launched the system in 2012, more than 256,000 New Yorkers have registered to vote using the automated online service, MyDMV.
