Utica, NY (WIBX) - A Town of Lee man was indicted by an Oneida County grand jury today.

 
James Newbill allegedly pointed a rifle at state police back in June as troopers were responding to a domestic incident at his home. Police say Newbill was threatening to harm himself.

State police shot Newbill in the hands after he refused to put down the rifle and pointed it at toopers.

Newbill has since undergone a psychiatric evaluation and was found fit to stand trial.

 Newbill was indicted on nine counts, including four counts of menacing.
