New Hartford, NY (WIBX) - New Hartford Police say they arrested a Utica man for a robbery he committed on January 23, 2011. The report states that 4 individuals broke into the home on Paris Road around 11:00 p.m. -- threatened the home owner with a baseball bat, and made off with an X-Box video gaming system.

Officials say their investigation determined that the parties involved knew each other, and an arrest warrant was subsequently issued for one of the suspects. Yesterday, police say they arrested 44-year-old Reginald Champagne at a residence on Shepard Place in Utica -- the person believed to be responsible for the robbery.

Police say Champagne brought 3 other individuals with him to the home to take  the X-Box. Champagne was charged with 2nd Degree Robbery and taken to Oneida County Jail without bail. Police say the suspect was also wanted for an unrelated crime in Utica. A felony hearing is scheduled for later this week in New Hartford Town Court. Anyone with information about the robbery case or the other suspects is asked to contact NHPD at (315) 733-6666.
