The group #No Hospital Downtown is gearing up for a legal fight against Mohawk Valley Health System's downtown Utica hospital.

Co-Founder Brett Truett says he's putting his money where his mouth is by transferring $100,000 from his business checking account to the #No Downtown Hospital bank account.

Truett says the money will be used for lawyers and marketing to stop the hospital project.

Co-founder Jim Brock says they'll fight the results of the SEQR study and the taking of property in the hospital foot print through eminent domain in court if necessary.

The group also plans to send out direct mailings to area residents before Election Day.

#No Hospital Downtown has spent three years fighting the hospital project.
