Following the premiere of the first official trailer for Darren Aronofsky's 'Noah,' we're starting to see alternate versions -- like this international trailer -- pop up. The one above features some new footage sprinkled throughout stuff we've previously seen before. What we have seen already is stunning, and the new imagery is intriguing, like an earlier shot of violence and a couple of additional wide shots of large groups of people descending on the ark itself.

In the highly anticipated new film, Russell Crowe plays Noah, the storied man who builds a great ark before God sends an apocalyptic flood to destroy the earth. As the kid-friendly version goes, Noah put two kinds of animals on the ark and saved them. And as the darker version goes, Noah was a troubled alcoholic. We expect Aronofsky's version to be darker, of course, and to delve deeper into biblical myth. Ray Winstone plays the king, who is unhappy with Noah's religious ways, and judging by the trailer, sets about trying to turn people against him. Aronofsky's film also features characters like Methuselah, Noah's grandfather, played by Anthony Hopkins.

Joining Crowe, Hopkins, and Winstone, are Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson, and Logan Lerman. The film hits theaters next spring, on March 28, 2014.
