Reserve guard Jeremy Underwood scored 19 points, and North Carolina A&T beat Liberty, 73-72, in a First Four game of the 2013 NCAA tournament in Dayton, Ohio on Tuesday night. Despite entering the game with 20 losses, Liberty had an opportunity to win, but John Caleb Sanders' layup was off the mark in the final seconds.

Bruce Beckford added 16 points for the Aggies, while teammate Lamont Middleton had 14. As a result of the victory, 16th-seeded North Carolina A&T (20-16) will play top-seeded Louisville in the Midwest Regional at Lexington, Ky. on Thursday evening.

Davon Marshall scored 22 points to lead the Flames (15-21).
