A political newcomer is joining the race for the 101st District Assembly seat currently held by Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney.Little Falls attorney Arlene Feldmeier joined WIBX First News with Keeler in the Morning to talk about her ideas for the race.  With residences in one of Manhattan's five boroughs and Central New York, Feldmeier says she is uniquely qualified to serve the district, which runs from Oneida to Orange counties.

Tenney, a Republican who has announced her candidacy for the 22nd Congressional District seat being vacated by Rep. Richard Hanna, has not yet said whether she intends to run again for her Assembly set if she does not win in Congress.

Feldmeier is a Democrat, says that she would support an increase in the minimum wage.  She is a former reporter who says that the NY SAFE Act is not working, and is anxious to take her current experience as a social security attorney to help her prospective constituents.
