ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — New York's state comptroller is set to release his latest report on the health and profitability of New York City's securities industry.

Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli (dee-NAP'-oh-lee) plans to release the analysis on Friday. His office regularly reviews Wall Street profits, job numbers and compensation levels.

Last year his report found that while there have been job gains in recent years, the securities industry remains 9 percent smaller than it was before the 2008 financial crisis.

Last year's report found that the average salary in the industry, including bonuses, rose 14 percent last year to a record $404,800.
