ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — New York is looking for a couple of tall spruce trees to be displayed outside the state Capitol this holiday season.

State Office of General Services Commissioner RoAnn Destito put out a call Tuesday for donations of spruces between 35 and 55 feet tall.

The state each year displays one tree at the East Capitol Park and another on the south side of the Capitol.

State officials say the trees will be removed at no cost to property owners in mid-November. Proximity to Albany is helpful.
