NY Man Pleads Guilty To Killing Boss At Catskills Business

MONTICELLO, N.Y. (AP) — A 37-year-old New York man has pleaded guilty to beating his boss to death with a shovel at the Catskills bungalow colony where he worked.

The Times Herald-Record of Middletown reports (http://bit.ly/2wYBusl ) that Rickey Bolden, of Monticello, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Sullivan County Court to second-degree murder.

Authorities say Bolden was employed as a maintenance worker at the Pardess Bungalow County in the town of Thompson when he used a shovel to hit 61-year-old John Ferrari, of Riverdale, New Jersey, several times in the head.

Ferrari was the caretaker for the business when he was killed a year ago last week. Police found his body on the property two days later while investigating a missing person report.

Bolden faces 21 years to life in prison when he's sentenced Dec. 20.
