NY Offering Rebates For Green Appliances

Albany, NY (WIBX) - Going green could save you some green when it comes to buying a new refrigerator or washing machine.

Governor Cuomo has announced  $3.5-million dollars of federal funding is available for customers who purchase super efficient, Energy Star appliances.

Rebates will be available on a first come first serve basis for purchases made beginning on March 19th.

Rebates of $350 can be earned for refrigerators and $250 for washing machines.

The program will continue until funding runs out.
