HORICON, N.Y. (AP) — The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is asking Adirondack Park hunters for help in finding an 82-year-old man who's been missing for almost a year.

Thomas Messick of Troy hasn't been seen since last November near Brant Lake in the Town of Horicon, located near Lake George in the southern region of Adirondack Park.

Forest Rangers are still searching for the 5-foot-10, 160-pound Messick. He was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket, coveralls, and a red-and-black plaid hat.

Rangers are asking anyone hunting in the area around State Route 8, State Route 9N, and Schroon Lake to be especially alert.

Searches have failed to turn up any sign of Messick, who was reported missing after failing to meet up with his hunting group.
