NY State Fair Introduces New “Pocket Book” For 2012

Syracuse, NY (WIBX) - The New York State Fair is introducing a new cost-saving measure to help families stretch their dollars more at this year's event.

According to those with the State Fair, the "Best Bets Bargain Book" has more than 100 coupons, offering discounts on many items, including things to eat, do and buy.

In total, the books will feature savings of more than $3,000.

Those looking to purchase the books can buy them from advance sale outlets or at the State Fair Box Office for four dollars. Once the fair opens, they will sell for five.

This year's fair will operate from August 23rd until September 3rd.
