NY State Unemployment Rate Drops In July

The New York State unemployment rate has dropped to its lowest level in seven years.

The New York State Department of Labor says the jobless rate fell to 5.4% percent in July. That's the lowest rate since July 2008.

The state added 19,300 private sector jobs last month.
