NY State Unemployment Rate Falls To Lowest Level In Seven Years

New York's state unemployment rate has dropped to its lowest level in more than seven years.

The State Department of Labor says the jobless rate fell from 5.4% to 5.2% in August.  That's the lowest rate since May of 2008.

New York state has added over 163,000 private sector jobs since August of 2014.
