NY Unemployment Rate At Lowest Level In More Than Eight Years

New York State's private sector job count increased by 18,700 in February.

That's according figures released by the New York State Department of Labor.

The statewide unemployment rate fell from 4.9 percent in January to 4.8 percent last month. slipping below the national rate of 4.9 percent.

New York's unemployment rate is now at its lowest level since November 2007.
