NYC Man Charged Following Rome Shooting
A New York City man has been arrested following a Sunday night shooting incident in Rome.
Rome Police have charged 26-year old Derrick Fredericks of Brooklyn with attempted assault, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon.
Police say the incident took place in the parking lot of the Bloomfield Garden Apartments complex on East Bloomfield Street.
They say three men had engaged in a physical dispute and two of the men fled when they saw Fredericks had a handgun in his waistband.
Fredericks then allegedly chased the two other men and fired several shots at them. No one was injured.
Fredericks is currently on New York State Parole.
