A Manhattan detective has been placed on modified duty after video surfaced of him berating an Uber car driver.

NYPD Commissioner William Bratton says the department is investigating the actions of Detective Patrick Cherry who is heard making insensitive comments to the driver.

The driver of the Uber vehicle, nearby when Detective Cherry seemed to be having trouble parking his unmarked vehicle, signaled to the detective that he should have used a directional signal while parking.

Detective Cherry then allegedly became upset and confronted the driver.  A passenger in the Uber car recorded Cherry, whom many say dealt with the driver in a very unprofessional manner.

Among those who agree with that assessment is Commissioner Bratton, who has since apologized to the driver and his passengers.

The Civilian Complaint Review Board is now investigating the case.
