Syracuse, NY (WIBX) - The New York State Fair is rolling out several new foods for 2012.
First is the Big Kahuna Donut Dog, a self-titled "sidekick" to last year's Big Kahuna Donut Burger. The Donut Dog features a bacon wrapped hot dog nestled inside of a maple glazed long john.

For those who don't like donuts, the hot dog can also be served on a regular bun.

Other offerings include the Tiki Turtle burger, topped with deep fried mac and cheese, and several new items from the Deep Fried Specialties stand. Patrons can try such delicacies as deep-fried lasagna, brownies, jelly beans and fluff and banana sandwiches, among others.

Of course, traditional favorites like the $1 baked potato from the Potato Booth in the Horticulture building and 25 cent glasses of milk from the Rainbow Milk Bar in the Dairy Products building will be around, as well.

Aficionados can also check out the Pride of New York marketplace and the Farmer's Market tent to purchase food from locally grown producers.

This year's State Fair will operate from August 23rd until September 3rd. For more information, visit the State Fair's website here.
