NYS Parolee Arrested, Charged With Rape

Rome, NY (WIBX) - A Rome man is under arrest following an investigation by the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center and Rome Police.

According to officials, William Pike, 21, a current New York State Parolee, allegedly had sexual contact with someone under the age of 17.

Pike was arrested by Rome Police last night and sent to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of bail. The victim is being offered counseling through the Child Advocacy Center.

Pike's case has been referred to the Oneida County District Attorney's Office for Grand Jury consideration.
