Oneida County, NY (WIBX) - We are getting report of two emergency situations in our area. There is a downed power line in the area of Middle Settlement Road in New Hartford. Middle Settlement Road is closed between Seneca Turnpike and Clinton Street. Also, the Thruway Authority is reporting that all West bound lanes on I-90 are blocked at exit 33. Townsquare Media eyewitness, Blaine Wiggins tells us that it's due to a tractor trailer fire. He provided the photos. Officials advice that motorist use caution when traveling near the affected areas.

I-90 Westbound Closed Near Syracuse Westbound Traffic Detoured at Exit 33 (Verona)

Westbound motorists on I-90 will be detoured from the highway at Exit 33 (Verona) because of a truck fire between Exit 34 (Canastota) and Exit 34A (Syracuse, I-481), the New York State Thruway announced.

Westbound traffic detoured at Exit 33 and will be allowed to re-enter the Thruway at Exit 34A. No westbound traffic will be allowed to enter at Exit 34.There is no restriction on eastbound traffic entering the Thruway at any of these toll plazas.Variable Message Signs and the Highway Advisory Radio have been activated to alert motorists of possible delays. State troopers and Thruway personnel are available to direct motorists at the toll plazas.The Thruway Authority appreciates motorists' patience during these unscheduled delays.
