NYSDOT Studies Stop Light Removal on Route 5-12 in New Hartford at Wilbur Road

A traffic signal along the southernmost portion of the North-South Arterial (Routes 5-12) in New Hartford is under study for removal.

The light is only used to control pedestrian traffic at Wilbur Road.  The northern side of Wilbur serves a small subdivision and a few businesses along the Old Campion Road corridor.

A similar study was conducted in East Utica that led to the removal of a traffic light at the end of Broad Street at Dwyer Ave.
