The New York Giants' nightmare season continued Sunday as star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a broken ankle during an awkward tackle in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 27-22 loss the Los Angeles Chargers.

The now 0-5 Giants also lost kick returner/wide receiver Dwayne Harris to a broken foot, and receivers Brandon Marshall and Sterling Sheppard both left with ankle injuries.

Earlier in the fourth, Beckham broken free for a 48-yard touchdown that gave New York at 22-17 advantage. But the Chargers - who also entered with no wins and four losses - rallied for ten points in the final minutes including Phillip Rivers' third touchdown pass of the day, and his second to running back Melvin Gordon.

Gordon totaled 163 yards from scrimmage and the two scores.

Eli Manning finished with 225 yards, two TDs and an interception.

The Giants running game had it's best showing this season: 152 combined rushing yards, including 69 from Orleans Darkwa whose 23-yard TD run in the first quarter is the team's longest rush of the season, thus far.

New York (0-5) visits Denver on Sunday Night Football in Week 6. The Charges (1-4) are on the road against the rival Raiders.
