Off Duty Rome Police Officer Charged With Rape

A Rome Police officer finds himself on the other side of the law.

Authorities say 32-year old Jason Paul has been arrested and charged with rape.

Police says Paul had sex with a woman without her consent early Sunday morning in Rome.

Paul was off-duty when the alleged incident occurred.

He's been suspended from duty without pay.
