Off-Duty Trooper Involved In Utica Incident

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica Police are investigating an incident that happened early Sunday morning in South Utica involving an off-duty State Trooper.Police were called to a home on Beverly Place at around midnight for a report of a possible burglary in progress.

When officers arrived, they found two injured men.

Police say one of the men was the homeowner, the other an off-duty trooper.

Both men were treated at the hospital for various injuries.

There are no charges at this time while the case is being investigated.

Utica Police have not released the name of the trooper.
