A dilapidated building on Font Street, Binghamton is now nothing but rubble.  Members of the Broome County Land Bank, which owned the building at 250 Front Street, City, County and First Ward Action Council officials gathered to watch the start of the demolition.

The Land Bank secured funding through the New York State Attorney General’s Community Revitalization Initiative for the $78,000 demolition.

The First Ward Action Council is hoping to turn the lot into a community garden.
