Westmoreland, NY (WIBX) - One Utica man was injured when his car went off the road in the Town of Westmoreland.

According to Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol, 28 year-old Pah Heh, was traveling east on Route 5 at around 1:30 this morning, when his car started to slide on the snowy road because of high speed.

His vehicle then spun, went off the road and struck a utility pole. Heh left the scene, but was stopped soon after by deputies and later transported to Saint Luke's Hospital for neck and back pain.

He is charged with one count of speed not reasonable and prudent for the conditions and for leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Deputies were assisted by the Westmoreland fire Department and the Kirkland Police Department.
