A Westmoreland man is facing DWI charges following a one car crash on Stop Seven Road.

According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrived on the scene to find the driver of the vehicle had fled the scene. A short time later the driver was located and identified as 25-year-old Jack Jackson.

An investigation revealed Jackson allegedly failed to keep right and left the shoulder striking a utility pole, mailbox and fire hydrant.

Jackson was transported to St. Elizabeth's Hospital for evaluation and was subsequently charged with DWI.

He will appear at a later date in Town of Westmoreland Court to answer the DWI charges and other traffic violations.
