One Injured In Route 5 Accident

New Hartford, NY (WIBX) - One person was injured during a motor vehicle accident on Route 5 in New Hartford.

New Hartford Police say Kimberly Wedgren, 24, of Clark Mills, was traveling eastbound on Route 5 at around 3 p.m. yesterday, when she stopped to make a left turn onto Applewood Boulevard.

She was then struck from behind by Serge Beaumont, 60, of Utica.

One of Wedgren's passengers was treated for injuries at the scene.

Beaumont, who was uninjured, was ticketed for following too closely.
