Albany, NY (WIBX) - Two accidents occurred less than a mile apart along I-90.

The accidents involved at least four cars but, according to State Police, only a back injury was reported despite property damage to several of the vehicles involved.

Traffic was slowed along both eastbound and westbound lanes along I-90 between Exits 33 and 30 for about thirty minutes on Sunday as the scene was cleaned up and vehicles were towed.

It appears that slick roads were to blame for both accidents.  The New York State Thruway Authority is reminding drivers to take extra care to drive safely as winter conditions once again may make roads hazardous.  For current travel conditions visit the New York State Thruway Authority's website and sign up for travel alerts that can be delivered to your e-mail or smartphone.
