One Person Dead, Another Critical Following Accident On Route 12B

Kirkland, NY (WIBX) - State Police are investigating a fatal car-pedestrian accident that happened just before noon yesterday at the intersection of Route 12-B and Limberlost Road in Kirkland.

Police say two people who were walking along the shoulder of the road were hit by a car.

One person was pronounced dead at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

The other is in critical condition at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.

The driver of the car was not injured.

No names are being released at this time pending notifications of family members.

Police say charges are pending.
