Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol is reminding everyone that there's only one week left to sign up for the next Correction Officer Exam.

The deadline to apply is the close of business on Friday, September 28th.

The test will be given on November 17th.

In order to qualify to take the exam, individuals must be at least 18 years of age, and must be a legal resident of Oneida, Herkimer, Lewis, Madison, Oswego, or Otsego Counties one month preceding the date of appointment.

Starting annual salary is $34,296 and after successfully completing the Corrections Training Academy or six months of employment, the annual salary adjusts to $40,348.
