If you're planning on taking part in St. Patrick's Day celebrations this weekend, better make sure you have a designated driver.

Oneida County police agencies will be participating in a special enforcement effort to crackdown on impaired drivers throughout the St. Patrick's Day holiday.

The crackdown will run from Friday, March 13th until March 18th.

St Patrick’s Day is always well celebrated in Oneida County, between Parades and other party celebrations. I urge you to please drink responsible and help keep Oneida County roadways safe. If you are celebrating, please have a plan to get home safely”, said Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente.

Oneida County STOP DWI will be partnering with the Utica, Rome, Whitesboro, Whitestown. New York Mills and Kirkland Police Departments, along with State Police and the County Sheriff's Office.
