Following the arrest of a Boonville woman for falsely reporting an incident, the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center is "putting the public on notice."

The CAC has received more than 1,100 calls over the last year alleging sexual or physical abuse of a child.

Deputy Chief Dean Obernesser says there is nothing more disturbing than receiving a false report.

Obernesser say they have charged seven people with falsely reporting an incident in the past year.

He says there are too many childen who truly need the Advocacy Center's resources.

State Police say 29-year old Kimberly Moore called the New York State Child Abuse hotline and reported an instance of child abuse she knew wasn't true.
