The Oneida County Democratic Committee has endorsed a candidate for Oneida County Family Court Judge.

After a thorough screening process the committee has endorsed Jessica Reynolds-Amuso as their candidate in the upcoming judicial race.

Reynolds-Amuso is a partner at Reynolds-Amuso & Reynolds in Clinton. She has been practicing law for twenty years. For sixteen of her twenty years practicing she focused on Family Court.

Reynolds-Amuso released a statement regarding the endorsement.

I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Oneida County Democratic Committee. Throughout the screening process it was apparent to me that the Committee and its many members understand how important it is for our community to have a responsive Family Court. This “Emergency Room” Court is on the frontlines when children are in crisis, in the face of the opioid epidemic and when domestic violence threatens our loved ones. Family Court needs to apply the law correctly, respond to families according to their unique needs and be agile enough to utilize the best evidence based problem-solving techniques and innovations. Considering that, the Committee recognized that I have the experience, expertise and energy to make a real difference on the Family Court Bench,” said Attorney Reynolds-Amuso.

Reynolds-Amuso is a member of the Oneida County Bar Association Board of Directors and the Clinton Early Learning Center Board of Directors. She is also a member of the Mid-York Chapter of the Women’s Bar Association, where she is currently 2nd Vice President. She is married to local attorney John Amuso and has three children.
