The Oneida County Youth Bureau and Office for the Aging and Continuing Care will be teaming up this weekend for their 9th annual Intergenerational Clean Up.

The initiative brings together youth from area schools, colleges and youth organizations, who provide general yard clean-up services for seniors citizens.

The spring clean up will take place on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 2:00.

Any seniors interested in having their yard cleaned up can call the County Office for the Aging at (315) 798-5456.  Youth organizations wishing to volunteer can contact the County Youth Bureau at (315) 798-5027.

During last fall's cleanup, 850 youth raked leaves, swept porches, sidewalks and driveways and broughtr efuse to the curb for 115 senior citizen households.

This year's fall session is scheduled for October 21st and 22nd.
