Over 450 local high school students are taking part in the Mohawk Valley Construction Industry Development's 11th annual Construction Career Day.

The event is hosted by Oneida County and is being held at the County DPW facility in Oriskany.

County Executive Anthony Picente says career day is a chance for the students to get a look at the many opportunities available in the construction industry and take part in hands on demonstrations

Hands-on demonstrations include a mockup of a clean room.

Picente says students will get to see what working in a clean room offers as we prepare for Nanotechnology  industries in the area.
