Oneida County Jail Inmate Charged With Assault

Oriskany, NY (WIBX) - A Brooklyn man is facing charges in connection with an incident that happened at the Oneida County Correctional Facility.

According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, 25-year old Shaun Andrews assaulted 30-year old David Trebilcock of Sherrill on January 4th.

Andrews was charged with assault.

Trebilcock was treated for injuries at Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital.

Trebilcock, who's being held in the county lockup, is accused of stabbing and killing a 6-year old girl last July

It's the second incident involving a high-profile inmate at the jail in a week.

Christian Patterson, who's charged with killing Oneida County Sheriff's Deputy Kurt Wyman, was also assaulted by another inmate last week.
