Oneida County Jail Inmate Charged

An inmate at the Oneida County Jail is facing charges after allegedly found to be in possession of several items that test positive for Methamphetamine.

41-year old Daniel Smith of Utica is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and promoting prison contraband.

According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Offcice, the items were found during a routine cell search.
