A visitor to the Oneida County Jail was arrested after visiting an inmate there on Saturday.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says 51-year old Nancy E. Lumbrazo of Utica was visiting an inmate at approximately 1:30pm on September 20, 2014.  Her actions prompted officials to investigate and she was allegedly found in possession of items not permitted at the facility.

Lumbrazo now faces charges of promoting prison contraband (in the first degree) and criminal possession of a controlled substance (in the fifth degree).  Both are felony charges.

Lumbrazo was arraigned at the Whitestown Town Court and sent back to the Oneida County Jail for a longer visit in lieu of $10,000 cash or $15,000 property bond.

She is scheduled for a future court appearance at the Whitestown Town Court.
