The 6th annual Oneida County STOP DWI High School Baseball Classic will take place on Friday and Saturday at Delutis Field in Rome.

It's part of the county's Teen Traffic Safety Week Education Program.

The program is presented annually to high school students prior to prom season and aims to educate them on the dangers of making destructive decisions while behind the wheel.

“Teen Traffic Safety Week is a top priority for myself and Oneida County Government,” County Executive Anthony Picente said. “The Teen Traffic Safety Education Program is an extremely effective way to reach our community teenagers and educate them on the dangers of making destructive decisions, especially at such a critical time of the year.”
