Oneida County Minority Leader Dies At 63
Rome, NY (WIBX) – Longtime Oneida County Legislator, Patty Hudak, has died following a brief battle with cancer.
Hudak represented Oneida County’s 29th District, serving as a member on several committees and, most recently, was the county minority leader.
County majority leader, Dave Wood, said she was a member of the “loyal opposition” whose first allegiance was always to Oneida County.
“Patty is somebody that wanted results,” Wood said. “She understood that sometimes you didn’t always get it your way. She wanted to achieve things and she was always willing to compromise, to listen to your side of the story and to work to get things done.”
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, in Rome.
In response to Hudak’s passing, Oneida County Executive, Anthony Picente has ordered flags at all county buildings to be flown at half staff until Friday.
