Oneida County Offers Flu Shots

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Flu season is quickly approaching and the Oneida County Health Department wants everyone to get their annual flu shot.

Until November 18, walk-in flu clinics across the county will be set up in various locations including Utica, Rome and Sauquoit.

Flu shots from the clinics are covered by Medicare Part B. For adults without insurance, the cost is 25-dollars.

According to the New York Department of Health, influenza, combined with pneumonia, is the eighth leading cause of death in the United States.
