Jim Rondenelli, WIBX

Oneida County is marking Child Abuse Awareness Month.

County Executive Anthony Picente says it’s a time to highlight the work the County’s Social Services Department and their community partners do all year long.

Department of Social Services Commissioner Lucille Soldato says it’s critical for people to speak out

Picente says the County received over 4,300 calls to the child abuse hotline last year.

The hotline number is 1-800-342-3720.
