Deerfield, NY (WIBX) - On Friday, December 21, 2012, at around 11:09 pm, while responding to a one-car crash on Bell Hill Road, that's near the Oneida-Herkimer County line, Oneida County Sheriff's Deputies discovered an underage house party in the vicinity.

As deputies broke up the party, they say several people ran into the woods. We're told that 17-year old Michael Pinto was one of those who fled the residence and that he fell down a 30-foot cliff into a river bed.

Oneida County Deputies, Deerfield Firefighters and Kunkel EMS all worked to help rescue the Poland teen. He was transported to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse and is said to be in Critical Condition. The investigation is still continuing.

Saturday evening, the Oneida County Sheriff's Office emailed the newsroom to let us know that Michael Pinto has been upgraded to Fair Condition.
