Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol is announcing that a second Ballistic vest has been donated by the Criminal Justice Student Association at SUNY Canton.

The students at SUNY Canton raised the 14 hundred dollars for the vest by selling raffle tickets and "save the k-9" t-shirts over the last year.

The new vest will be used by "Cero" who is partnered with Deputy Jason Osika.

"The Sheriff's Office is grateful to the criminal justice students at SUNY Canton for their hard work and generous gift to ensure that Cero is provided the best protection while serving and protecting the people of Oneida County," Sheriff Maciol said.

Earlier this month, the Central New York Kennel Club donated another vest to K-9 "Jago" who is partnered with Sgt. James Danquer.
